Hi, I’m futurist Mal Fletcher. AI technology is evolving rapidly - far more quickly than our understanding of it!

We cannot wait for artificial intelligence to decide its ethical limits. We must act decisively to maximise AI’s benefits but limit its potential threats. You can help us be a catalyst for that!

This technology will impact almost everything - our jobs, health, mental well-being, privacy, finances, security and environment.

For four decades, I have helped people to engage the future today. I've done this through mass media advocacy* reaching into more than 100 nations, plus events in 40 nations.

Alongside me are some very committed volunteers at the UK-based 2030Plus Futures Forum and the Next Wave International missions charity. Together, we’ve also launched TV series, education programmes, research, and books and other publications.

We urgently need your help to promote human-friendly AI. We must act now, while we still have time to shape AI’s development.

The Urgency of Our Cause

We need your support to raise £25,000 by the end of June 2024.

This will support our ongoing research and media advocacy, which provides a positive but ethical voice on AI in the public square. Your giving will help us launch AI awareness and ethics programmes for students and run more of our AI education sessions for civic and charity leaders.

How will your giving be used?

We’ve already allocated approx £5,000 for ongoing, up-to-date research; £14,000 for media commentary (includes prep, writing, and presenting.); £2500 to help underwrite webinars and other training events; £2500 for publications (e.g. a new ebook on AI issues); £1000 for some basic travel costs (for interviews, events etc).
